Jeff Brockbank |

The Turton & Edgworth Pool League would like to extend it's condolences to the family and friends of Jeff Brockbank, who passed away on Friday. Jeff has been a long time active member of the pool league, as captain of the Royal Oak and lately at Egerton Cricket Club. He never missed a meeting and was always willing to give input into the league. A great loss to the community - rest in peace Jeff.

We can now confirm that this years presentation will be held at Bradshaw Con Club on Monday 20th July from 8PM onwards. Entertainment has been booked this year in the form of a comedienne, so winners or not, why not come down and have a laugh?

We know the season is practically over now and you all want to go on your holidays, however we do require the results cards for verification. As there is no paperwork to hand out it would be greatly appreciated if a member of your team could drop off your winning cards at either Bradshaw Con Club, marked for the attention of Cres Robson, or at The Old White Horse for the attention of Glynn Dutson. Could the cards be dropped off by Wednesday 8th July at the very latest.

Next Monday is the final game of the season. Could all teams please ensure that any outstanding games are played by Wednesday 8th July at the very latest.
Any missing results by midnight Wednesday 8th July will be entered as 7 - 0 to the non-cancelling team.

The Old Dungeon |

It is with regret that I have to say that The Old Dungeon in Tottington has now closed. This is despite me paying a personal visit there last Tuesday and getting the assurance of the landlord that his team would complete the season.
All teams having a fixture against them will now get a bye and, in the interest of fairness, all results against them will now be cancelled as not all teams will have had the opportunity to play them at home and away.
